In 2010, Decca spent time training as a parenting educator at the Love & Logic Institute in Colorado. Since that time, she has taught over 2,500 parents in the Roanoke Valley through partnerships with various organizations, including Carilion, Roanoke City Department of Social Services, United Way of Roanoke Valley, and more. In addition to the Love and Logic approach, she has integrated other parenting philosophies such as brain-based parenting, mindful parenting, trauma-informed parenting, and more. Decca created her LLC, Blue Ridge Parenting, to facilitate these partnerships and to offer consulting services to parents in need.
